In Ethiopia they don't celebrate birthdays like we do here in the states. They don't eat cake really, unless you are in Addis Ababa, then perhaps you might come across a cake or pastry shop. So finally she decided (very last minute) that she would like a lemon cake.
So very last minute, her Mama sick with the flu, managed to make a very rustic looking lemon cake.
Lemony it was and loaded with 16 candles... plus one to grow on!
